= AX Audition

Japanese TV anime series “SHIKIZAKURA” will have a voice cast auditions for an English-speaking role at ANIME EXPO (AX) in July 2019. This is your chance to become a cast member of a Japanese anime.

This audition is sponsored by SHIKIZAKURA Production Committee (“SPC”) in JAPAN and here is the Official Rules.

The winner will be invited to Japan for the voice dubbing, and more!

◆QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Actors must meet all of the items below:
1) Must be ages over 18 and living in the United States.
2) If selected after First Round, must be able to attend both audition dates at AX19 (Second round: July 4, Final round: July 6).
3) Must be able to travel for three nights and five days to Japan in fall 2019.
(Details will be confirmed after the winner is selected.)
4) Must have an AX19 Badge to attend the audition.

INTIAL SCREENING
◆APPLICATION PERIOD
May 22, until 5pm (PDT)
SPC will select maximum 30 candidates for the 2nd round on July 4th.
*: SPC might select fewer than 30 if not enough qualified entries have been received.
◆RESULT ANNOUNCEMENT
The email will be sent out to those who passed the screening by June 14.

SECOND ROUND
SPC will select maximum 10 candidates for the final round on July 6th.
*: SPC might select fewer than 10 if not enough qualified entries have been received.
◆RESULT ANNOUNCEMENT
The email will be sent out to those who passed the screening by July 5th at 12pm PDT.

◆HOW TO APPLY
1. Upload a video* on YouTube with #AX_Audition_2019 including all of the items below.
A) Self-introduction.
B) Acting on “happiness”, such as being able to visit Japan or meeting your famous celebrity.
C) Acting on “fear”, such as freaking out after encountering an odd-looking villain.
D) Acting on your free setting.
*Each item needs to be within 30 seconds, in total no more than 2 minutes.
*All item needs to be in a single video.

2. Fill out the form with accurate information.

◆SELECTION CRITERIA
Voice Quality: 30%, Acting: 30%, Applicant’s Individuality: 40%

◆GENERAL TERMS
(1) Sending an entry constitutes, entrant’s consent to give us a royalty-free, irrevocable, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, create derivative works from, and display such submissions in whole or in part, on a worldwide basis, and to incorporate it into other works, in any form, media or technology now known or later developed, including for promotional or marketing purposes.
(2) SPC’s failure or delay to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
(3) By participating in the audition, entrant consents to SPC processing their personal information (name, age, email, address, YouTube) in accordance with SPC’s Privacy and Cookie Policy, available at https://www.ctv.co.jp/company/protect/ for the purposes of organizing, running and monitoring the audition and prize fulfillment, including, if entrant wins a prize, publishing their name on the Winner(s) List or in any other media in connection with the audition.
◆WINNER’S PRIVILEGE
Date of Travel: Fall 2019 (We will adjust the schedule with the winner after winner’s selection)
*: Prizes will be awarded by the end of 2019.
Days: 3 nights and 5 days
Approximate value of prizes: about $3,000

Privilege 1: Anime dubbing in Japan
Privilege 2: Round-trip economy class flight ticket from LA to Nagoya and accommodation fee for a single person
Privilege 3: Touring within Aichi prefecture (scheduled to include the locations featured in SHIKIZAKURA)
*: Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes on prizes and transportation to/from home address to LAX (Los Angeles International Airport).

A bilingual virtual YouTuber MIYA KIMINO, who gathers more than 180,000 fans on her channel will be joining JAPANESE DREAM =AX Audition= as a judge.
MIYA has been assigned as the “Aichi Tourism Virtual Supporter” and promoting the beauty of Aichi prefecture. Since anime SHIKIZAKURA will be taking some places in Aichi, MIYA will be joining this audition as a judge to further promote Aichi and to lead SHIKIZAKURA to a success.
